Land sale volumes fall, but per-acre price rises by 15pc

A total of 88 successful land auctions featured in the national press in 2019, a drop from 153 in 2018. This 43pc fall in transaction numbers, and a 38pc decline in the volume of land sold, were not fully reflected in the amount of money generated. While the volume was down, the price was up.
