The Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, who has died after testing positive for Covid-19, was one of Britain’s most notorious killers. Sutcliffe (74) murdered at least 13 women across Yorkshire and the north west of England between 1975 and 1980. He was serving a whole-life term and was being held at HMP Frankland in Durham.
