Women account for just 11.6pc of the agricultural workforce in Ireland. Compared to other countries it is a very low figure, but Felicity McGrath and her mother Patricia are bucking the trend with a thriving herd of pedigree Aberdeen Angus and a growing herd of Kerry cows on their 70-acre holding outside the village of Gurteen in Co Galway.
