Apollo 11 controller was lone woman in sea of men

Amid the room full of men inside NASA’s firing room for the liftoff of Apollo 11 sat JoAnn Morgan. Morgan, 78, who began working for NASA in 1958 while in college, made her prime-time debut as the first female launch controller on July 16, 1969. (July 15)
